Dr Richard Bailie is a clinical psychologist who has supported the Courts and professionals to think about the complex and ongoing needs of children and their families for almost 20 years.
Richard has a particular expertise in engaging families who have struggled to trust professionals and of enabling partnership working to achieve the best outcomes for the children. He is an expert in assessing all aspects of mental health, risk and special needs across the age range.

Dr Sarah Swan
Dr Sarah Swan is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience working with adults with a range of mental health problems and substance misuse issues. Sarah has a particular interest in assessing and working with trauma presentations and issues related to personality disorders and substance use. Sarah’s high level of training and experience of engaging people who may find it difficult to trust professionals, assessment, report-writing, therapy, training and consultancy, means she is able to provide expert witness work of the highest quality for the court.

Dr Susan Brown-Jones
Dr Susan Brown-Jones is a clinical psychologist who has been conducting assessments, both interview and psychometric, and psychological therapy for over 25 years. In addition to extensive training with paediatric and adult neuropsychologists, she has extensive clinical experience in assessment. Susan has specific expertise in cognitive/IQ testing as well as assessment for neurodiversity.

Dr Sonya Tsancheva is a Clinical Psychologist with more than 10 years of clinical experience supporting adolescents and adults struggling with mental health and chronic physical health conditions, and the professionals working with them. She has particular expertise in dynamic and systematic understanding of ill-health difficulties, and how these are impacted by the context of the individual. She is an expert in assessing all aspects of mental health including risk and individual needs of clients.

Dr. Elisabeth Linn CPsychol is a HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist and a chartered member of the British Psychological Society. She has over 7 years experience of assessing and treating mental illness in both children and adults. She has expertise in the assessment of mental illness and risk in both children and adults, and formulating a plan for the best outcome for families.

Ms Filipa Nogueira
Ms Nogueira is a registered Clinical Psychologist with 13 years of experience working with babies, children, adults, and families across diverse clinical settings in the UK and internationally. She has worked in both health and social care settings, supporting individuals with a range of mental health and cognitive/neurodevelopmental needs and adapting her approach to different cultural contexts.
Ms Nogueira has expertise in offering specialist assessments and treatments to children, young people and adults presenting with mental health difficulties, including adults in the perinatal period (antenatal and post-natal). She has a specialist interest in attachment and complex emotional needs as well as the assessment and therapeutic work of parent-infant at risk dyads.
Ms Nogueira offers evidence-based treatments for complex emotional needs, trauma and difficulties in the parent-infant relationship. She is trained in EMDR and offers this regularly. Ms Nogueira is also trained in Video Intervention Guidance (VIG) an effective video-feedback intervention for parent-child relationship. In addition, Ms Nogueira offers informed Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT), an evidence based therapy treatment for complex needs, including personality difficulties.

Dr Ann Steele
Dr Ann Steele is a clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience working in the NHS, academia and research, and in private practice. She has specialist experience in assessing adults for neurodivergence including autism and ADHD, as well as complex mental health conditions, and in providing psychological assessments and treatment following trauma. Ann is also experienced in providing neurodivergence assessments in forensic settings.

Dr Nathan Shearman
Dr Nathan Shearman is a Clinical Psychologist and EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner who works for the National Health Service (NHS) and within academia. He is highly skilled in assessing, formulating and supporting adults with reactions to difficult, traumatic experiences such as childhood sexual abuse, neglect and bereavements; rape, sexual assaults and violence; poverty and financial hardship; accidents, injury and illness . Currently, within his NHS practice, Nate supports adults and their loved ones with the impact of critical illness, injury, death, hospital admissions and treatments. He has excellent interpersonal skills and is able to quickly build rapport and alliances. He strives to ensure those he works with could describe him as fair, genuine, transparent and effective.

Dr Kim Merrick is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the field of safeguarding and child protection for over ten years. Kim has particular expertise in undertaking assessments with children and young people and in helping other professionals and the courts to understand and meet children and young people’s needs. Kim also has expertise in providing therapeutic support to children and families affected by trauma, especially intergenerational trauma and working with parents/carers to help them to be the best parents/carers they can be.

Ms Bal Sanderson
Ms Bal Sanderson is a Forensic Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Ms Sanderson has experience working across a range of forensic environments, including NHS high, medium and low secure hospitals, HM Prison Service, and community-based settings. Ms Sanderson also has extensive experience of preparing parole reports for complex cases encompassing diverse offending behaviours. In addition, she has a thorough knowledge of cognitive difficulties, personality disorder, substance misuse, mental health conditions and trauma. Ms Sanderson is able to provide the full range of legal assessments for adults in family and criminal law.
