Therapy for parents
and their children
Therapeutic support that creates real, lasting change for families
HCPC-registered psychologists who deliver proven interventions — our network of psychologists draws on 20 years of clinical experience to support children, parents, and complex family dynamics.
Dr Bailie has over 20 years’ experience working with children and families. Every psychologist who works in our network is hand chosen, HCPC registered and highly experienced in helping children and their families.
Between us, we offer interventions to address most childhood and adult concerns, including:
- Child mental health — for example, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and the impact of abuse or neglect, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), conduct problems, anxiety, and depression.
- Adolescent mental health — for example, PTSD, coping with an abusive or neglectful upbringing, self-harm, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues, including young people who present a risk to others through aggression or offending behaviour.
- Adult mental health — for example, PTSD, developmental trauma, and mood disorders.
- Parenting — supporting parents to develop parenting skills, including in the context of parental mental health difficulties or substance misuse.
- Family Ties intervention — for parents and children affected by high-conflict separation. We help parents mentalize — think about their own feelings and their child’s — so the child is exposed to less conflict. Read more about Family Ties Therapeutic Assessments.
- Keeping Families Together — for families working with social care, We help parents to process past trauma, access support, and become good enough.

Therapy for Parents — Keeping Families Together
If you’re working with a parent in pre-proceedings and want to explore options before instructing further experts, our Keeping Families Together service offers rapid, targeted trauma therapy for parents.
When children are at risk of significant harm, parents need help to provide good enough care. We know how hard it is to build relationships with parents when they feel under threat and are reluctant to trust professionals. In our experience of working with hundreds of families, past trauma often blocks a parent’s ability to make use of help — which is why we offer this service.
How?
Trauma therapy for parents is hard to find. We offer rapid, targeted trauma therapy, so parents can build stronger relationships with their children and with the professionals helping them — reducing the need for Family Court proceedings.
Where?
We see parents in or near their home, making therapy accessible and comfortable for them.
Who?
We are a team of clinical psychologists, HCPC registered, with decades of combined experience working with families who have lived through trauma. We provide a rapid, targeted intervention so parents can make the changes they need to care for their children.
If you are a social worker supporting a parent to look after their children in pre-proceedings and are considering an expert witness assessment, our Keeping Families Together service is an alternative. We offer rapid, targeted trauma therapy for parents with the aim of enabling a parent to improve their care of the children, engage with professionals and avoiding proceedings.
