Global Psychological Assessments
for the Family Courts
You need evidence-based psychological
opinion, on time, every time.
Finding an expert witness you can trust takes time — that’s why our assessment methods are built so every psychologist in our network works to the same high standard.
Understanding what’s really happening for a family matters — for you, and for your client. We know how anxiety-provoking it can be for a client to see a psychologist, and our assessment methods are built so every psychologist in our network works to the same high standard.
We are experienced in the assessment of the most complex and longstanding issues that present in the Family and High Courts, including non-accidental injury, fabricated or induced illness, contact and custody disputes, and parents with forensic histories, learning disabilities, or concerns about their sexual or violent behaviour.
We are transparent about our role as an independent expert, and open about the assessment process throughout. We have engaged with hundreds of clients, many of whom find it hard to trust professionals — and our assessment reports are robust enough for you to make clear decisions and take informed action.

Our assessment process
Our assessment methodology has been developed and refined on over 2000 clients since 2005. To reach a valid and reliable psychological opinion, we observe, interview, and use standardised psychometric measures — with the client, family members, and professionals who know them well — to build a comprehensive picture.
- Assessments typically take place in the client’s home
- We achieve a high level of direct engagement with families
- Our reports are detailed, balanced, and accurate, so instructing solicitors and their clients are both clear about how we reached our opinion
For high-conflict cases where a privately funded, intensive therapeutic approach may help, see our Family Ties Therapeutic Assessments.
