Helping parents to process past trauma, access support and become good enough. When children are at risk of significant harm, parents need help to provide good enough care. We know how hard it is to build relationships with parents when they feel under threat and are reluctant to trust professionals. In our experience of undertaking work with hundreds of families, past trauma often blocks the parents’ ability to make use of help. This is why we now offer our Keeping Families Together therapy service. We help parents to process past trauma, access support and become good enough.
How?
There is a lack of trauma therapy for parents. We offer rapid trauma therapy for parents, so that they can build stronger relationships with their children and with helping professionals, avoiding the Family Courts. See below for more details of our intervention.
Where?
We see parents in or near their home, making therapy accessible and comfortable for them.
Who?
We are a team of clinical psychologists, with decades of experience working with
families who have lived through trauma. We provide a rapid and targeted intervention so parents can make the changes they need to make to care for their children.
